Volunteer Work

Service Volunteer Opportunities

The parish is establishing a future schedule/calendar of volunteer opportunities which will be updated throughout the year.  This comes from the vast amount of last minute requests for service hours from mostly students and some adults.  Due to supervision compliance we are not able to schedule hours outside of the planned schedule.  Please plan accordingly!  The plan is to have the “Volunteer Calendar” posted in the bulletin, Facebook page and webpage.   Should you have any questions or concerns please contact Lorena at 704-644-4653 or lcastillo-ritz@charlottediiocese.org

Volunteer Requirements All volunteers within the Diocese of Charlotte are required to fill out the forms that can be found in the volunteer section of the Charlotte Diocese website.  Volunteers working with children must attend a Protecting God's Children Workshop, information and registration can also be found on the Charlotte Diocese Website.

Volunteers Are Needed.

Our Parish, along with other parishes, is responsible for helping to providing meals in September, October & November for the Southminster Levine & Dickson Hospice House.  We're being asked to provide dinner on Tuesdays and Thursdays and lunch on Saturdays during these months.  Something as simple as the convenience of an onsite, fully prepared meal makes an enormous difference to the hospice volunteers, patients, and their families.  SignUp Genius link will be activated in the coming weeks.  For more information please contact: Nena Cahill at ncahill@carolina.rr.com or Colleen Watts at CMMW@gmail.com

Faith Formation Volunteers  If you are interested in volunteering as a catechist call the Faith Formation Office at 704-554-1622 to get information.  Please fill out the required forms as described above. Attendance at a Protecting God's Children Workshop is required.
